Tettenhall College pupil Harry is celebrating a major breakthrough in his karting career after delivering a standout performance at Round 5 of The Kart Championship at Shenington.
Harry first discovered his passion for karting at the age of 10, racing at TeamSport Birmingham in the British Indoor Karting Championship (BIKC). He quickly made his mark, finishing runner-up in the local finals.
In 2024, Harry progressed to outdoor arrive-and-drive karting with DRS35. He secured his first race victory in Round 2 before going on to win the DRS Plate Championship and finish fourth overall in the standings.
The following year saw Harry compete in part of the Club100 season before making the move into owner karting. He stepped into the highly competitive Junior Rotax category, although he had to wait until the year of his 13th birthday before becoming eligible to compete in Motorsport UK events.
Now in 2026, Harry is competing in his first full season in Junior Max. He is racing in both the PFI Club Championship and The Kart Championship, one of the UK’s leading national karting championships, competing in the Junior Primo class with JAXX Motorsport.
His fifth-round performance at Shenington proved to be a weekend to remember.
Harry qualified on pole position before securing victory in one of the heats and both super heats. He went on to win the final, while also setting the fastest lap in both heats. His exceptional performance saw him collect the maximum championship points available over the weekend.
The result is particularly impressive coming on just his third race weekend with JAXX Motorsport and represents a significant milestone in Harry’s first full national season.
Harry will now look to build on this momentum as he heads towards the final round of The Kart Championship at Whilton Mill in September, where he will be aiming to end his debut full national season on a high.
His achievements demonstrate the dedication, commitment and determination required to compete at the highest levels of junior karting, and Tettenhall College is proud to support Harry as he continues to develop his skills both on and off the track.
