After School has finished, there is free time so that boarders are able to relax before doing their homework. Tettenhall Village is less than a minute’s walk away, so boarders can use this time to go for a walk and enjoy the atmosphere of our stunning location. Prep (homework) is compulsory between 6.30pm and 7.45pm in our state of the art Study Centre. Once prep has finished, the School facilities are available to play sport, practice music or simply relax in the boarding house.
With sofas, a pool table (in boys boarding), TV’s and books, the boarding house common rooms are the perfect place to relax after school.
Weekend activities are plentiful and there are regular outside visits to places that include go-karting, bowling, cinema trips, paintballing, museums, theme parks, places of cultural interest and many more.
Excursions are largely based on developing further life skills with the aim of giving our boarders as broad and varied an education as possible, thus enhancing their educational experience with us. Boarders are allowed to visit the surrounding area, and there are good transport links to Wolverhampton, Birmingham and the huge Merry Hill shopping centre. All boarders below Year 10 must be accompanied if they are leaving the site.
If you have a trip or activity you would like to try, please let houseparents know as they are always happy to hear suggestions!
