We believe in nurturing the leaders of tomorrow by offering prestigious opportunities to become effective and positive role models and ambassadors to other members of the school and wider community.
Our inspirational environment enables students to flourish and work towards achieving their personal ambitions. Sixth Form students are expected to engage with a range of leadership activities from charity endeavours, prefect duties, boarding leadership, peer mentoring younger students and much more to develop skills such as decisIon making, organisation, problem solving and collaboration.
Students can take leadership position within the thriving School Council, representing the voice of the student body, or by helping to lead the College House system which works to develop regular opportunities to bring the Tettenhall Values to life:
Ambition, Opportunity, Creativity, Community and Character.
School Prefects Programme
Being elected to the Prefect team is considered an honour. Students are offered leadership opportunities that enable them to take on new responsibilities beyond their curriculum. Prefects develop confidence, self-discipline, resilience and effective teamwork. The role of the Prefect is varied, sometimes challenging and always rewarding.
Functioning effectively as a team, implementing projects, being a role model for their peers and a supportive member of the school community are only a few of the aspects that the role entails. Support is on hand from the Sixth Form leadership team and the Head Prefects will meet regularly with the Headmaster and Head of Senior School.
