Senior School

Here at Tettenhall College we approach teaching and learning through interactive and engaging methods, across the broad curriculum. Our teachers ensure the class is actively involved in understanding what they are being taught by viewing it through the sphere of their own experience.

Throughout the College we are proud to offer a broad, challenging and engaging curriculum to our pupils, whatever their age.

Discussion and debate,  independent thinking and critical reasoning are all encouraged. As they develop, pupils are expected to form and articulate opinions and justify thoughtful conclusions.

Ultimately, our approach is about ensuring that all pupils have the skills and experience to think independently, maturely and to make reasoned decisions. Whether they are preparing to take the step up from Preparatory to Senior School, embrace the demands of the GCSE or A Level curricula or move forward into Further Education, pupils are given the guidance and support to tackle each new phase with confidence.

We are proudly and unashamedly ambitious for all pupils at Tettenhall College to achieve their very best. Our unstinting commitment to inclusivity means that we strive for ‘Excellence in All that we Do’, whilst underpinning this with a caring, meaningful pastoral structure, designed to nurture, support and encourage.

The well chosen teaching strategies coupled with individual support are effective in supporting pupils of all abilities to make good progress.”
