Most nurseries have an ending built into them. Ours does not. A child who joins us at two can stay until they are eighteen, on the same site, without ever having to start again somewhere new.
The journey
- Nursery, from your child’s second birthday
- Pre-School, from the September after they turn three
- Reception to Year 2, our Pre-Prep
- Years 3 to 6, our Prep School
- Senior School, Years 7-11
- Sixth Form, years 12-13 to the age of eighteen
Because there is not really a handover. Our Reception staff already know the children coming up to them, because they are in the same building. The children already know the dining room, the grounds and the routines. Moving into Reception is a change of room, not a change of world, and it shows in how quickly they settle.
The Preparatory Pathways Programme
Our Preparatory Pathways Programme runs from two to eleven as a single, deliberate progression rather than a series of separate stages, so each year builds on what came before.

Do I have to decide now?
No. A nursery place does not commit you to anything beyond nursery. But most of our families find that by the time Reception comes round, the decision has rather made itself.
Children in our Nursery & Pre-School are guaranteed a place in Reception Class. No assessments are required.
