Outstanding Achievements by Students at Midlands ISA Athletics Competition

Students from Year 4 to Year 6 showcased their exceptional athletic abilities at the Midlands ISA Athletics competition held at Saffron Lane Athletics Stadium, Leicester. The event witnessed participation from more than 30 schools all competing for a chance to qualify for the Nationals in June.

The students from TC school displayed great determination and motivation, delivering remarkable performances across various track and field events. Achievements included an impressive 4th place finish in the 150m race and 6th place in the 600m race from Daniel, Lily qualified for the sprint final where she finished 7th, and Samuel participated in the sprint final, securing a commendable 6th place. Amrik excelled in the long jump, claiming 5th place, while Kacper showcased his talent by finishing 4th in the cricket ball throw. Lucy had an exceptional performance that led her to the 80m final, where she secured 4th place.

The success continued with outstanding medal-winning performances from Joel, who claimed 2nd place in the 150m race, Myah, who finished 3rd in the same event, Emily, who leaped to an impressive 2nd place in the long jump, and Isobel, who achieved 2nd place in the rounders ball throw.

The triumphs did not stop there, as Isla secured a spot in the Nationals by qualifying in the 600m race and the Year 6 girls team emerged victorious in the relay competition, earning the honour of representing the Midlands at the upcoming Nationals.

The squad’s dedication and hard work serves as an inspiration to their peers and reflects the commitment of the school to achieving excellence in both academics and athletics.
