We were incredibly fortunate today to have a visit from emerging artist Shaquelle Whyte. Originally from Wolverhampton, but now living and working in London, Shaquelle is establishing himself as an emerging figurative artist.

Shaquelle spent time conducting portfolio reviews with GCSE and A Level pupils, talking to them about their University applications and delivered an aspirational talk to our younger pupils, art scholars and aspiring art scholars.

For Shaquelle, art is a deep-felt expression as he explores the human condition. Inspired by literature and the theory of artists such as Rothko, Salgado, Monet, Twombly and Yiadom-Boakye, to name a few.

He studied Fine Art at the Slade School of Art and is now selling his work through various London galleries and is due to exhibit in New York next year. It was a privilege to have him at Tettenhall College and pass on his expertise to pupils.
