Headmaster David Williams said he was very pleased with the results and congratulated all pupils.
“This has been a strong year for us, with some excellent performances,” he said. “Our GCSE pupils have worked very hard and deserve their success. We are particularly pleased to see an increase in A and A* grades, which is testament to our small class sizes and dedicated staff.
“As a non-selective school, we pride ourselves on helping pupils develop academically, socially and creatively to become well-rounded individuals. We help every pupil achieve their personal best and staff and students are always prepared to go the extra mile. These top level results are the icing on the cake.”
The results follow on from last week’s A-level success, where 25% of pupils achieved the top A*/A grade.
