Sixth Form Taster Day and Open Evening

Join us on Wednesday 18 October 2023 for the Sixth Form Taster Day and Open Evening.

Sixth Form Taster Day – 8.30am – 4.10pm 

Making a choice for your College or Sixth Form is an important decision and we are excited to provide you with the chance to explore all the opportunities at Tettenhall College. The purpose of this day is to provide pupils with the experience of being a Sixth Former at Tettenhall College, including attending a variety of Sixth Form lessons. Whilst some pupils have a very clear idea as to the subjects they would like to pursue, it is quite common to be very undecided at this stage, so this Taster Day is an excellent opportunity to explore a variety of options.

The day will begin at 8:30am as normal. Pupils will then be able to select and attend their subject taster sessions throughout the morning. Finally, the day will conclude with team building activities. Pupils will need to be in smart business dress or their school uniforms throughout the day. The school day will finish at 4:10pm.

Sixth Form Open Evening – 6pm 

At 6pm our Open Evening will begin and both pupils and parents are welcome to come and hear from our Headmaster, listen to a presentation about all that Sixth Form life has to offer and to meet with staff and other pupils to discuss the options available. The evening will begin with a welcome from the Headmaster and an introduction from the Assistant Head Academic Mr Matthews and Assistant Head Pastoral Mrs Hollinshead. Our Head of Sixth Form will then outline the many benefits of studying in Sixth Form at Tettenhall College. Subject specialists will be on hand to support and give further details about their subject areas and there will be plenty of time available for pupils and parents to ask questions.
