This week’s artist of the week goes to Finlay Mayer for his interesting use of drawing combined with his pendulum painting.

ARTIST OF THE WEEK 05.07.2021 - POPPY REEVES

This week’s artist of the week goes to Poppy Reeves for her large scale canvas based on animal testing and linked to the conceptual American artist Barabara Kruger who is well known for her white, black and red posters that are overlaid with declarative captions.

ARTIST OF THE WEEK 28.06.2021 - RAJAN MATHARU

This week’s artist of the week goes to Rajan Matharu for his large relief work based on the artist Collin Van Der SlujsWell done to Rajan for the construction of the piece and the use of composition and colour.

ARTIST OF THE WEEK 21.06.2021 - LILY HEMMING

This week’s artist of the week goes to Lily Hemming for her creative textile work. This unique dress is based on her butterfly studies. She has used silk painting for the bodice and the skirt is made up of creatively folded copies of her own chalk and watercolour work. Lily has used animal features to embellish the bodice, linking to an earlier aspect of her development work.

This week’s artist of the week goes to Sammy McDonnel, Yuri Moriya, Sahana Satish for attempting a painting from home using only a monochromatic colour scheme using paint, coffee and food colouring. A creative take on a difficult task. ​
