Tettenhall College has been a boarding school for more than 160 years, and our boarding community is a foundational aspect of the school. Boarding begins when a pupil reaches the age of 10 and we are proud of our longstanding tradition of welcoming younger children into a safe, supportive and enriching environment.
In 2022 we undertook an extensive refurbishment programme, with every boarding bedroom, common room, kitchen and bathroom being given a fresh and new décor. Our junior pupils have shared bedrooms with 3 or 4 pupils in each, allowing them to have a great amount of fun and friendship. As pupils progress through the school, they have twin or single bedroom options available to them.
Boarding at Tettenhall College is more than just a place to stay – it is a transformative experience. Younger pupils who join can experience a wider range of subjects, rapid improvement in English and adjust to the British education system. They take part in a full programme of enriching extra-curricular activities and cultural trips, all under the care of our dedicated and experienced boarding team.
Our aim is to develop confident, independent and well-rounded young people, fully prepared tor the academic demands of GCSEs, A Levels and life beyond school.
