Nicole G, a scholar and boarder from Tettenhall College, has achieved a significant milestone by securing a place at The University of New York, Abu Dhabi (NYUAD). She will be pursuing a major in Economics alongside a minor in Social Research and Public Policy at the esteemed institution.
Receiving offers from universities across the UK and Europe, Nicole opted to follow her aspiration of studying in an American university. Her exceptional application caught the attention of NYUAD, leading to her invitation for a fully funded two-day candidate weekend in Abu Dhabi.
During her time at NYUAD, Nicole had the opportunity to immerse herself in the vibrant global community, explore the cosmopolitan city, engage with faculty and staff, interact with prospective students, and tour the campus. The experience left her excited about the prospect of studying at the university.
Expressing her joy upon receiving the offer, Nicole said, “I thought chances were slim but I decided to give it a shot. I was over the moon finding out I had been accepted. I was delighted that I could prove to myself that with effort and perseverance, goals can be achieved.”
Nicole’s journey to NYUAD has fulfilled her desire to pursue education abroad. Originally from Moldova, she sought to complete her final years of education in the UK, ultimately choosing Tettenhall College for its academic environment and opportunities to cultivate her interests.
