On Wednesday 2nd October 2019, our Year 7 boys relay team, Sammy McDonnell, Benjamin Jones, Charlie Welch and Oscar Ward represented Tettenhall College at one of the most prestigious swimming events for school swimmers. The event is split into five regions for the West Midlands, with our event taking place at Thomas Telford School. Such is the quality of this Championship, there was a total of 47 schools that entered in our Region.
In our qualifying, the boys swam fantastically to finish a creditable 3rd (freestyle relay) and 4th place (medley relay).
Special mention has to go to Sammy, who swam a personal best time for a relay (freestyle) leg of 33.49 seconds.
Very well done to them all for showing excellent commitment and effort.
