A Level History pupils built upon their classroom learning of the workings of the government during WWII with an illuminating trip to London’s Churchill War Rooms. But no history trip to London would be complete without also visiting the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and examining key artefacts at the British Museum, which is how they concluded the day. “The War Rooms are brilliantly presented for enquiring historians of all ages and bring to life the history leading up, during and after WWII”, says Tom Seston, Head of History. “The pupils gain huge amounts of key knowledge from a trip like this, which will facilitate their progress back at school.”
