Sister Act

Join us in our beautiful Victorian theatre when our pupils in senior school and sixth form take to the stage and present – Sister Act.

There will be two show stopping performances on Tuesday 31st March and Wednesday 1st April both starting at 6.30pm.

Sister Act is a musical based on the hit 1992 film of the same name with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater, book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner, and additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane.

Sister Act the musical follows lounge singer Deloris Van Cartier, who witnesses a mob murder by her gangster boyfriend, Curtis, and is placed in witness protection at a convent as ‘Sister Mary Clarence’. Initially clashing with the strict Mother Superior and quiet nuns, Deloris revitalises the convent’s struggling choir with disco and soul, turning them into a sensation, but this success risks exposing her cover, leading to a showdown with Curtis and his gang, ultimately uniting the nuns and bringing her newfound family together.

Booking is required. Adult tickets – £12 and child tickets – £8 to raise funds for Tettenhall College.
