Entry and Induction Days
We offer a flexible entrance policy and pupils may enter at any age and during any term.
Pupils are invited to join us for a day visit, during which they are assessed. This allows them the freedom to experience the full range of subjects on offer, meet staff and pupils and make friends. If a pupil is considering a boarding place then we offer the opportunity to spend a night in the Boarding House.
Year 7 Entry
For entry into this year group the assessments consist of English, Mathematics and Verbal Reasoning.
Year 8, 9 and 10 Entry
Pupils sit entry assessments in English and Mathematics.
For entry in September 2009 we arrange visits from October 2008-February 2009. We aim to inform parents of the outcome of these assessments within a few days.
Sixth-Form
The entry requirements for a place in our sixth-form is 5 GCSE grades A*-C. Pupils are invited to join our Lower Sixth for a day's trial, having selected the subjects that they may like to study at sixth-form level. This provides an invaluable introduction to the life of a sixth-form pupil. We will also require an academic reference from the current school including mock results if available.
