DESCRIPTION:Years 7\, 8\, 9 Entrance Assessment\nSaturday 25th January 2025\, 8.30am – 12.30pm \nThe Entrance Assessment Day is for pupils looking to join Tettenhall College in Year 7\, 8 or 9 in September 2025. The Entrance Assessment will take place on Saturday 25th January and on this day pupils will spend a full morning with us at the school. \nIn groups they will complete the following: \n\nThe formal Entrance Assessment. This is done in the computer rooms and is an assessment delivered by Cambridge CEM (Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring). The assessments cover literacy\, numeracy and non-verbal reasoning.\nA handwritten creative writing task.\nA carousel of activities that have been carefully designed to allow us to assess teamwork\, listening to instructions\, and how children approach new challenges.\n\nFor assessments for a Sport\, Art\, Music or Performing Arts Scholarship Award pupils will be invited to attend an appointment in the week prior to\, or immediately after the Entrance Assessment. \nIf you are applying from overseas\, please speak to the Admissions team and we will be pleased to make arrangements for the Entrance Assessment to be completed in your home country. \nRegistration is essential. DESCRIPTION:If your child is due to start reception in September 2025\, we would like to invite your child to join us for Space Explorers – a space themed taster morning on Wednesday 29th January 2025\, 9am-11am. \nThe session will be 2 hours and is perfect for your little one to: \n\nSpend time with our experienced\, friendly and welcoming EYFS team\nMeet our current pre-school children who will be in their class in September\, so they can make friends and have familiar faces when they join\nSpend time in our classrooms and learning areas where they can play with equipment and toys and interact with other children\n\nChildren are warmly invited to join us for as many of these taster mornings as they would like; to help ensure they feel comfortable and familiar at Tettenhall College\, and of course to make their September start as exciting as possible.
