Upper School

Pupils in a classroom

The Upper School, (ages 11-18 years), is a vibrant and flourishing community which shapes children into confident young adults. Each individual has a significant part to play within the school community. All the pupils are well supported by staff to meet the expectations of an academic curriculum and encouraged to get involved in a diverse extracurricular programme that connects with the wider community.

Students are encouraged to develop their strengths so that they leave us as confident young adults ready to embrace the challenges of life beyond school.

The facilities in Upper School are designed for purposeful study and they comprise new Science laboratories, ICT suites and interactive classrooms. In addition, the facilities for Art, Music, Drama and Sport ensure that all pupils are able to discover and develop their natural talents wherever they may lie.

The sixth-form provides a strong and vital framework for the final two years of a pupil's school career. The pupils have small classes, quiet study areas, access to research facilities and personal tutors. The emphasis is on developing key skills of maturity, self drive and motivation. Independent study and research skills are vital at this stage and pupils are guided through this process.
