The School Journey
Three schools in one, means a smooth transition for your child between The Drive School, The Lower School and The Upper School.
Pupils begin their education in The Drive School, our pre-preparatory department and then transfer to Lower School at the end of Key Stage 1. On completion of their primary education in Lower School, or upon transferring from other Primary and Preparatory schools, pupils enter Upper School. The Sixth Form prepares pupils for University entrance. New challenges but continuity of education and the security of a familiar system are thus assured throughout a pupil's time at school.
Our aims are:
- To provide the amenities of a good Independent School catering for day pupils and boarders
- To supply a sound academic education based on traditional standards of excellence, within a stimulating and caring environment
- To encourage the full development of each individual's particular talents and interests
- To foster pupils' respect for themselves and for others, as well as for their environment, and to give them the confidence to deal with the challenges of life both during and after their days at school
- To maintain a partnership between parents, pupils and school, as good education is a matter of teamwork
Underlying these aims are the beliefs that pupils of all ages are happiest within a well disciplined framework and that the good habits acquired at school are the foundation of self-discipline and success in later life.
Religious Ethos
The School's motto is "The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom" and this expresses its original intention: to impart education within a firm structure of moral values. The school is interdenominational.
