The Drive
The Drive School at Tettenhall College is the pre-preparatory department and caters for both boys and girls, aged from 2 to 7 in a purpose-built school. The modern and spacious accommodation comprises an all year round Nursery unit, large well-equipped Kindergarten and parallel classrooms for Reception and Years 1 and 2. A Kiva provides an atmospheric environment for music and story telling.
Secure play areas and a sensory garden ensure imaginative and social play. The teaching staff are appointed for their special qualifications and sympathetic ability to meet the needs of the children of this age range and the boys and girls flourish in an atmosphere of happy discipline and purposeful activity.
The school provides a secure, caring environment where children can learn and play throughout the early years of their education. We aim to develop in each child a spirit of curiosity, a sense of self-worth and the highese standards of personal behaviour. In addition, we believe that every child should fulfil his or her own academic potential and try to instil a desire for challenge at every level.
The Drive School is open between 8.00a.m. and 6.00p.m. Monday to Friday inclusive. A Breakfast Club operates from 7.30a.m. each morning. The school day runs from 9.00a.m. to 3.30p.m. (except in the Nursery) and supervision is provided before and after school if parents require it.
