Lower School

The Lower School, (ages 7-11 years), provides a happy and stimulating learning environment in which the boys and girls feel secure, confident and valued as individuals. Each child is encouraged to develop his or her talents to the full and to acquire a love of learning that will last a lifetime.
The Lower School is spacious, vibrant and bright, yet small enough to retain a family atmosphere and a genuine sense of community. The building was purpose-built and provides excellent facilities to encourage active learning. Teachers use interactive whiteboards and there is computer access in every classroom. A newly, refurbished computer suite provides pupils with further, modern ICT facilities.
The curriculum offers a wealth of opportunities for children to achieve success and to develop self-confidence. Class sizes are small to allow teaching staff to devote more time to each child and the caring ambience that pervades the Lower School enables the children to achieve. Learning Support teachers assist in enhancing the self-esteem and academic performance of those pupils who have specific learning difficulties.
A varied range of extra-curricular activities and trips complements the curriculum and supervised care is provided from 8.00am until 6.00pm. with a breakfast club available at 7.30a.m.
