The Annual School Musical is the highlight
of the year for many at Tettenhall College.
Each year over 100 pupils from year 7 and above are involved
in the production.
Throughout the Spring and Summer term the pupils audition for all aspects
of the performance - from dancers to musicians, the chorus
line through to the leading roles. For those who want to be
involved, but are more interested in the behind the scenes
action, they are able to help with set building, costumes,
lighting and props.
This is an excellent and entertaining way to see
first hand the talent and outstanding work of the drama department
at Tettenhall College.
During the Summer Term the drama department
runs a Drama Club which is a pupil directed “theatre
company” in which the members have the opportunity to
act, direct, write, design, publicise and stage manage.
Each year the Drama Club, which is open to pupils from year
7 upwards, endeavours to put on small productions of existing
scripts or to devise and create original pieces of theatre
for performance.
