We offer a flexible entrance policy, and
pupils may enter at any age and in any term.
Pupils are assessed prior to entry as part of their day
visit to the School where they will be able to experience
the full range of subjects on offer, meet with teachers and
make new friends. For any prospective pupil considering Boarding
there’s the opportunity to spend a night in the Boarding
House.
For entry into Year 7 the assessment consists of three papers;
Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning and English.
For entry into Years 8, 9 and 10 pupils are assessed in
Maths and English and we aim to inform parents of the assessment
outcome within a few days. Parents will then be given a date
by which to confirm acceptance of their offer. This will be early March 2008.
In order to secure their child’s place we ask for
a registration fee of £80.00 along with a declaration
of special arrangements form.
For the Year 7 intake there will be an induction day in
July where pupils are able to experience a sample timetable
day.
For entry into the Sixth Form we have a minimum requirement
of 5 GCSE grades A-C.
A two-day Sixth Form induction also takes place in July
to include a day of lessons and a day of team building activities.
